After searching for a good wallpaper, I finally gave up and installed Terragen (which was downloaded a few weeks ago but never installed) - after that I experimented like an idiot and eventually just gave up generating a good terrain and started to custom-make my own. Pathetically pathetic? Hell yes. Noobish? Hell yes. Did it end up looking good? Hell yes.
After saving everything, I decided to mess with the sunlight direction and angle. Things were looking horrible at first, but I eventually set the "sun" low enough to be visible. This gave me a very good idea, so I messed around some more and eventually got something that's absolutely awesome.
Moral of the story? "If you can't find a kick-ass desktop wallpaper, make it yourself."
Sometimes immense boredom is a good thing, you know? :P
